[Conference presentation] Papers presented at the 4th TTRA-APac Conference

Dr Hayato Nagai from Wakayama University’s Center for Tourism Research (CTR) attended the 4th Travel and Tourism Research Association (TTRA) Asia Pacific Chapter Annual Conference hosted by Middlesex University Dubai between 2nd and 4th December 2016.

Dr Nagai presented a paper which he co-authored with Prof Brent Ritchie (Distinguished University Professor, Wakayama University / Professor, The University of Queensland) and A/Prof Kaede Sano (Wakayama University) titled“Natural disasters and tourism: A review of major events in Japan from 1995 to 2014” at the concurrent session.
One of CTR Visiting Senior Fellows, Mr Sho Kashiwagi (Specially Appointed Lecturer at Tokai University Fukuoka Junior College), also attended the conference and presented a paper he co-authored with Dr Nagai and Prof Tomoyuki Furutani (Keio University) titled “Revisiting the concept of VFR travellers: The case of Japanese travellers”. Both presentations received many questions from audience and generated active discussion during the Q&A sessions.
